Greetings from Australia

Believe it or not Nissan Australia chose not to realease what you guys call the M35/45 here, but our import rules allow us to bring them in privately as used vehicles provided they meet certain criteria.

One of them is that they must have an article published in a motoring enthusiasts magazine. Now before you jump on me for not using the links listed at the top of this section, I tried using internet-based reviews and they were rejected, so they have to physically scanned from the magazines themselves, along with a scan of the front cover.

Is anyone able to help out all of Australia by scanning an article or two for me? My email address is [email protected]

Thanks heaps!

Kristian

You might want to contact any of the major US car magazines (Motor Trend, Car & Driver, Road & Track, Automobile, Autoweek, etc.) and ask to purchase a reprint of a road test on the model you are looking for.

Greetings Iron Chef, I will honestly try to help you in your quest for M35/45 reviews. I am just trying to understand what you mean by "rejected" when clicking on links for internet reviews. MikeP is quite correct in recommending the purchase of reviews of the major auto press if all else fails. Another thought would be to look at the Japanese Domestic Market Nissan Fuga for reviews, which is almost identical. I am jealous of your ability to import used cars without stifiling red tape ala U.S D.O.T conversion. Combine that with the historic lows of the U.S Dollar in the currency markets and you are going to get an amazing deal.Cheers, mark

Sorry for not responding sooner ... been a bit caught up with hectic work stuff.

Can you elaborate on what happens when you click on the links? Most of those sites should be pretty open, I'd think.

In many cases, it would be tough to find the magazine articles to scan. For example, I don't bother to keep older issues around anymore. My wife would not be amused!

Ah! I think I just understood what you meant by rejected. You were actually able to get to those Internet sites, but that is not considered sufficient for the import rules. You need actual printed articles in car magazines - aren't government rules wonderful?!?

So ... a question: is a scan of the article and cover sufficient (i.e. an electronic image)? Or does it have to be pages from the actual entire printed magazine?

I will look to see if I have any issues around with the 2006+ M35/M45 in it ... but I doubt it (see my previous post), unfortunately! If anyone in the US has them handy and can send them along to me, I can certainly scan them.
