since my e-fan install my car has been idling kinda rough when its not NOT, not cold, but in the middle. It used to be steady, but now its weak. I've got a s13 ka24de alternator in there now im pretty sure there rated at 80amps, i think this may be causing my problem. I have a very small amp, 20 amps and the two altima fans.

Cold, I get ~11.95v, when warm, anywhere from 13.7xv to 14v with my Altima fans on. Wired to a block with the starter, alternator, and harness power leads right off the battery (via 2g copper wire). No issues here.

Works fine for me. I can tell there's a draw on the engine when it first turns on, but not too bad.

i never had a problem with both altima fans ghetto rig wired into the fuel pump relay (always on) in a hot climate

break out the multimeter?

i would first just try disconnecting the e-fans while you are having rough idle to make sure thats whats causing it. then troubleshoot from there

edit> and that was with a ghetto amp driving 2 MTX 10s that drew enough to dim my lights sometimes until i got a capaciter for it

My altenator is from a CA, not KA. (are they the same amp. voltage?)It works fine for me, but I also have my electric fan connected to a switch under the dash, so it's not always on. It does'nt need to be on when the car is cold. I don't run my fan all winter, and the car never overheats.3 other guys in my crew do the same. I'd rewire it, or replace the altenator.Good Luck!
