Bah.. no me gusta leer.

The only exception being car-related books.

Some of the books we read at school are enjoyable, but I would never read such books in my free time.

If you like fanatsy in even the tiniest way:The series:A Song of Fire and Iceby George Martin

I think the first book is "A Game of Thrones". Don't worry, this isn't a 10 book epic. It is three. Good stuff with mature (I don't mean sexual, I mean intelligent) writing.

Anything Douglas Adams'. (Hitchhikers guide, Dirk gently's holistic detective aency.)

Used to be a big Clancy fan, but things have gotten so out of control after "Rainbow Six"... he comes out with more new stuff per month than anyone Ive ever seen. Cant keep up.

Steven King! Esp. the Dark Tower series.

Tolkien (not just the LOTR trilogy/hobbit).

Vagabond. Manga that rocks.

Without Remorse.Executive OrdersThe Hunt For Red OctoberRainbow Six

(By Tom Clancy; of course.) Pretty much anything he writes is good.

And Halo: The Fall of Reach. Can't remember the author. If your a Halo freak, this is cool to see what happened before the start of the game.

The Bear and the Dragon was pretty good. The coolest part was the old Russian sniper turned trapper getting to take a shot on the Chinese. I haven't read his last two, thou. Saw they got bad reviews. I may pick them up sooner or later.

Oh, anything by Larry Niven/ Jerry Pournelle.

Esp.-FootfallThe mote in God's eye

I've also read Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow. Very good stuff.

If you run across it, pick up a book called "There will be War". Its a compilation of sci-fi war stories by tons of authors that absolutely kick ***.

Too bad its out of print... you might find it in a used book store or something.

Dune, F451, Mars (Ben Bova), Ethan Frome, Wuthering Heights (kinda chickish, but a very intriguing storyline), Clancy stuff, Blackhawk Down, Harry Potter kicks arse no matter what people say. Jon and the Monster (I,II,and III)... though that one was written by me in 1st-3rd grades, so... there's actually a 4th one, but it's on a floppy somewhere and I can't find it. Ever read that stuff you wrote way back in the day? It's funny as crap.

If the Sport Compact Car staff wrote a book I'd get it in a heartbeat.
