Today I said goodbye to my first car, a 1989 240sx. I got her at 113k. She had a some slippage at 3rd. I got that fixed for a total of $1000 part+labor. We were doin great, then a wheel that only needs cleaning from the inside especially by the tire valve where it leaked like (*you fill in the blank with whatever your dirty little minds can think of). When I finally got that fixed things were going great again until my brother who doesnt think of me as a brother because of the following story: In Feb 2009 he borrowed my car whom I was starting to diagnose and told him what I was going to do next which was to put some lucas transmission lube in there if it was slipping. A month or so down the road the car was revving high at about 5k on a 65 mph road for about 1.5 hours (IF!!! your doing the speed limit and traffic is not heavy). He even told me that he was concerned and like a proud owner and good brother I offered to check it out. BUT! he said no because he will be sleeping, even though I was in the area. As I finished my day and slept appx half was through my night my phone goes off with a text message saying there is smoke coming out of the hood of the engine, a dark dirty looking smoke and the engine is ka-put.
All that man, all that.
plus these. It was a nightmare, but I looked at it as an opportunity. Unfortunately, my brother who has a steady source of income with the Air Force @ E3 with wife and kid living at mommy-in-laws place for 500/mo.
Come on son! I even asked for payments as low as 5/mo cause he was saying "Im broke", "but I want to help", "I Will help". Month after month. I even get my lawyer to talk to him but he refuses to speak like a b**** I MEAN mute. Then the city at the turn of the year tell me I have to move it to all weather surface, I thought cement was. f*** the city, f*** my brother wait till there are no humans to hold this devil dog back you f*** piece of s*** airmen! I have more respect for a sailor like dad and our uncles more than you. Hell even some soldiers Ive met. And, f*** me, even though karma got back at him exactly 1 yr later when he totaled his car by clipping or rear ending a truck (his entire driverside front fender was f***. If the car was a person his eyeball would be hanging out and half his lip would be ripped off hanging and there would be missing teeth with a slice just left of that little hill on your lip on the left side). It hurts that someone you thought was suppose to be family and treat you deacently would only offer $500 tops. Now, Im going to make me a rock crawler out of an 89 toyota pickup and park on top of his lexus
