Wow! I'd be curious to find out if the FAA determines that JetBlewit was at fault for violating the Passenger Bill of Rights Act, which could fine them big $ for delays like that over 3 hours. I suspect they might escape the fines due to the weather conditions but I hope they compensate those poor passengers.

And to show just how much the markets care about this sort of thing, JetBlue's stock plummetted 4.03% today. Of course, that could be more tied to the entire NASDAQ being down almost 3% on the day and airline stocks in general shaving off an average of 3.5%.

But I like to think that TENS of conscience-driven consumers let their money do the talking and sold that stock.

According to Clear Channel this morning, they claimed that they had contacted all the passengers about refunds, etc, and at least 3 of the passengers said they'd had no contact either from email, phone or in person about any of that.

I suspect they won't dodge anything because they lie.

At first I thought she was going to stop at $27,500. That's nothing. And then she said PER PERSON. Ah, that's better.

Wow, that's insane. They should be fine. I'll bet that pilot wrote his two week while stuck on there too.

If they do get fined, what is the outcome afterwards? Who gets that money? The FFA or the passengers that were stuck on there?
