The older Fords were good, back in the 60s, 70s and 80s. Then it went downhill. My dad had a 1967 Mustang Coupe...I loved that car so much. But when my parents got divorced he lost everything and had to sell it to get back on his feet.

Why do people complain about trash talk (it does look like a mini - minivan) and trash talk in the same breath?

I didn't buy a Honda (too small or too expensive), Great cars!

I didn't buy a Toyota (******* Dealers), Great cars!

It would be Ironic, if they drove a minivan.

As far as a Mini - SUV, i think that implies 4x4.

I got a Versa because it had what I wanted (fuel efficient and safe) at a great price, looks were real low on my list.

Dude, not all SUV's are 4x4 for 1....for 2, why do you have to come in here and be so negative...everyone including myself are here for 1 reason...we like our Versa's.

And most SUV's aren't even 4x4...they're AWD if we want to get technical. But my 2004 Xterra that I had before my Versa was 2x4. Although I treated it like it was a 4X4...probably explains why I got trapped on a trail out in the Everglades with mud all the way up to my doors.

NICE! lol

I love off-roading. I do it for work with a 2001 Chevy Silverado. That truck is a freakin beast! Almost 150k miles and it still runs strong, still climbs mountians like its nothing. Im a surveyer/drafter for APS in Arizona and the survey part involves trucks and desert. So that truck has been put through alot and still runs good. Getting stuck isnt the fun part but its another challenge.

I just laugh it off, I love the fact that I bought a "Cute" car, and my friends are extremely fond of it.

And then I ask them if they could fit a recliner in the back seat.

Um? No? Didn't think so. :D

I do have to agree with ghrshow here for a moment, though... What use is it to complain about trash talk then turn around and return the favor?

I know, rather hypocritical coming from me... but if you step back, it makes sense.

I also agree that the V isn't a small minivan. Minivans have sliding doors. Guess what else has sliding doors? The Mazda5. THAT is truly a small minivan. And saying "Zoom zoom" doesn't cover that fact.

And depending on your definition of SUV, the V isn't close to that either. TRUE SUVs have ladder frames, like trucks. Most smaller modern "SUV's" don't meet this description. They're car frames with SUV-like bodies. And SUV doesn't necessarily imply 4WD or AWD. I own a FWD "SUV" (MAV, whatever). And even from the birth of the SUV, back in the early Jeep days, not all were 4WD either. In fact, you can still find a TON of 2WD Cherokees, Wagoneers, and postal Jeeps. I bet if you looked at the numbers, all of Chrysler's divisions combined probably produce more 2WD SUV's per year than Subaru produces total vehicles (all AWD, mind you).

What do I define my V as?

A hatchback. It is what it is. It's not trying to play any other role.

my roommates have i think a 99 hyundai sonata that they have wrecked like 4 times. it had a bend frame, the transmission will come out of gear and stop the car when ever it wants (even at 60mph) both front discs are bend and much more. and they still talk **** about my V

people keep laughing at me because the V got 122HP, but their Civics only got 140hp, so I dont get why laugh a something that has 122hp when their car isnt that fast either way. and its a civic.

However, is doesnt mean that all other cars and people are stupid.

Make a statement that is Funny, Ironic, Self-depricating and I will laugh along with you. It is the Negative Mob mentality that i can't abide.

People always talk trash about their buddies cars. It is just in jest, but it gets a rise out of them. The criticism doesn't have to be valid. It's just fun. Hell, I've just been looking on ebay for one of those old hand starter cranks for my bosses birthday. It's for his BMW.

We call it clapped out because he bought it nearly new instead of new.

Another buddy got a real nice 335 BMW. We tell him its a cheap piece of cr*p because it only has two doors. And it's a hairdressers car.

And as for the V, they actually haven't said anything negative yet! Of course, when I told them it takes less than a day to earn a car payment, it puts some perspective on it.

That's one of my favorite things about the Versa. I love that it only takes me two days of work to pay for my month of car use (loan, insurance, gas...) And, its super comfortable

lol yeah its always mixed responses. some good, some bad.

but most of all i dont care , i didnt get it to impress or even for the fact that i was in love with it blah blah, bottom line is:

cheap on gas, cheap brand new, years of reliable transportation, and its nice interior. so i win, they can keep paying twice as much a month to drive a 4-runner or some waste of metal. i laugh the most these days since gas is 3.20$ a gallon and i can go twice as far and probably have half the payment

lol I dont know about twice as far, because those cars have a big tank, but definately the same distance with half the price.

And I wonder which car has more torque? I know the V has 127, but what about the civic?
