But this seriously happened.

Okay a little background:

Friend sold a LS6 converted Camaro to some guy. Guy gives him a $3000 deposit and takes the Camaro to get smogged. NEVER comes back. Avoids calls. Gave him a fake address and turns out the deposit bounced.

So basically the Camaro was stolen. So the guy puts up a post on the local messageboard asking for help finding the Camaro. Turns out it was easier than we all thought seeing as the license plate number was "IZEMAN". We see it around town every once in a while but NEVER are able to catch up to it.

But tonight. TONIGHT. Oh man. There was a BBQ at this shop that just opened up (cheapest MOMO prices in AMERICA) and we're at the shop just eating and having fun and hanging out when my friend gets a phone call. They found the Camaro. It is however, 30 minutes across town.

So we jump in a Typhoon (Yes a real one), and the MR2. We drive across town to go check it out. My friend is a trainee for the police force and we take every step and proedure as legally as possible. We drive to the apartment complex as the owner just finally gets there. He takes the spare key he has and with the help of a repossession personnel we take the Camaro and drive off. Sircnay is a hero tonight. We celebrated with hamburgers and a drink.

Good times.

In Spokane WA someone bought a bunch of semitrucks with a check but they bounced. The trucks were probably being used to ship drugs. The police couldnt do much because technically, payment was rendered, even though the check was bad.

The law doesnt have many protections for a situation like this, depending on where you live.

The police said they'd "Look out for the car."

4 weeks and nothing. He even went to the guy's school and they did NOTHING!

A guy I work with bought one brand new. He rolled it after owning it for a few months. It was totalled. Good thing I didn't know him then.
