from what i can tell its a new manifold for the ka24de and looks like the turbo placement is supreme to the old RevHard/treadstone style. check it out

its a cast manifold. there isnt much to go wrong. the "ebay" cast manifolds have proved themselves many times before. i have only seen one honda one crack, and never heard of any others crack. i understand that ebay isnt the greatest sometimes. but a lot of the time you cant beat it. and the quality of the Chinese parts are getting better. maybe its time you open your arms to ebay :dblthumb:

the only thing i can see wrong with that manifold is it would need some porting around the head flange because the KA has squareish exhaust ports and that manifold has small round ports.

I wouldn't hesitate to try out this manifold if I didn't have my JGS

Cast manifolds are friggin tanks. Good find dude, can't argue with that price. Hell it makes me look at my JGS that's been cut apart and rewelded 3 times and think...wtf am I doing? I'd be interested to see what a T4 looks like mounted on there.

I already have a MV home skillet. That's what the wifeunit2000 drives...lol. I'm gonna remove my back seats and mount some car seats in, probably have to remove the front seat permantly, but I get to keep the S14.

The S14 is in my shop btw, going to go up on jack stands as soon as I get the AC fixed on Monday in the MV.

So yeah, it's still in progress. My Son Dylan won't allow me to get rid of the S14.

Traded my old rev hard egay knock off for this one since the turbo is placed better. Few things to look at....its a egay manifold so i had to open up the exhaust stud holes for proper fitment and i opened up all the ports, they are quite small. I just took the edge off so it doesn't generate as much head at that point. I'll take a few pics tomorrow of it on my car with a to4b turbo. I'm working with that shop on and off (emusa).....i'm currently talking to the owner about getting a "greddy style" intake manifold out for the ka since no one offers one at the moment. They are getting ready to move to a bigger warehouse and once they make the move i'll keep pushing for that new IM for the ka.

sweet man. im interested to see the pics. i could see from the photos that the manifold has small ports. even my rev hard (actual brand) had smallish ports that i made pretty large.

a freddy IM would be pretty cool keep on pushing!

I saw in the pics that the mani flange is cut between the ports. did you have to do that or did it come that way? I purchased a cast mani from ebay as well and to be quite honest, I have not had to do anything to the ports as well as the mounting holes. I did however have to grind down a minute portion of the rear top corner to clear a tab that is on the head. Other then that the thing is STOUT and with my T04E I have no problems with fittment. I will get a pic up as soon as I can. I just got the motor back in so I will mock it up again.

I cut the manifold flange in between the ports....that is just common prep on any manifold. It will help allow for some expansion when it heats up. Same for the mounting holes....it fit but, was just a little too tight for my liking so i opened up the holes a little bit. It'll bolt right on no problems....but, i suggest doing a little prep on any cheap manifold.

No i haven't ran the car yet at all.....hoping to start her up for the first time with in the next month or so. Before this i had a modified rev hard knock off.

Nothing special, they are just small. I took the sharp edge off it.....nothing more, not really ported :chuckle:

Does it look like you can do some decent porting without cutting into the cast runner? I'd like to gasket match mine. Think that's possible?

Gasket matching might be pushing it....You could open it up to that size but, would have to angle it smaller before you get through the thickness of the flange or might cut into the runner.

Werd, I figured as much. That at least allows for steady flow, vs exhaust gas just smashing into a block and being forced out a smaller hole. The good thing is, they are only 90 bucks.

I also note that the oil drain is fairly easy to route from that position. Is your bung just aft of the AC mount?

Right in the middle actually....more less center of the four bolt holes that hold the compressor bracket. Overall good placement....with a larger turbo you might have hood clearance issues but, other than that you can't beat it for 90$.

I have AC still so...

I'll just weld the bung aft of the bracket.

I think im going to order one next week ill just get a T3 to T2 flange adapter i guess. I dont know if that many gaskets is a great idea? Ill find out i guess its got to be better than other ebay options. I checked out one the other day that had been welded up at the flange on 3 different runners. JUNK No idea which one it is ....
