I have been researching for about a month now on what route to take engine wise and I realized something special about the ca. Where are all guys that post HELP! questions. I have read through countless ka-t, rb, and sr sub-forums and this forum has the least help q's. I was thinking of going rb20 and recently thought about installing a 5.0. But ca seems like its the way to go because it seems problem free and all I want is 250-270 to the wheels for when I have a bad day. Time to read up on this jewel and hopefully make it happen. Keep up the good work fellas!

Nice to see our CA cult following has yet another potential member.

If you want to know what you're getting into, look at David's CA18DET build-up. It's a perfect example of a CA done right.

Wikipedia has a basic rundown of the CA series. This takes you straight to the CA18DET

Also take a look at Driftopia.com. There's a lot of good stuff in there - some nice tech writeups by 240AM.

Just to give you an idea of what some people are doing with their CAs.

This is a link to a project by 240AM. He's done some pretty respectable work with his swap IMHO.

Also check out his Tech and How To's. The writeups cover everything he's done with his CA-equipped 240sx, and they don't leave you asking many questions.

your last two links are bad since they got archived today.

water-to-air thread: zer...15456

GM Ignition swap thread: zerothread?id=247682

and most of our tech stuff is archived in the FAQ section.

I love how this forum is organized, and there's quite a few good minds on here.
