1. No1 ever said that Mugen ever made a CAI. We said that they dont do it for a 300ZX2. Since when does header = exhaust? Since you already stated what kind of exhaust you got, what kinda headers did you get. If not Apex'i?

ebay cai or cheap ripoffs tagged as mugen don't count... and you are right, headers from apexi exist, but not for your application...

Just a word of advice from an older guy. Don't start your car life starting trouble. Just noticed your age and know that you just have to be getting into this. Trust me when I say that there are a lot of people on all of the nissan forums that know a lot more than you (and me for that matter). I've owned a nissan for over 9 years and I still don't know a lot, but I know enough to recognize when I might be wrong or sit back and just listen.

I'm sure the 300Z project has you hyped up, but chill, this is supposed to be fun.

Which is not an original mugen, but a generic brand tagged as one. If it fits and performs, great, but if it doesn't well....

Exactly.

We've all done dumb things, most of them hopefully didn't cost us $65 and internet embarrassment, but even then, you got off lucky.

If this $65 CAI actually increases performance I'll be very surprised. You're probably going to get God-awful throttle response and a nasty whiney sound, rather than what a real CAI does.

Oh, and the point at which a 300ZX intake (or anything else) costs less than a Sentra intake is the point at which the earth stops rotating and we all die.

Next time, do your research.

edit: That was a bit harsh, and I apologize, but seriously, don't call us stupid til you check your facts. Some people on here know more about cars than I know about my own face.

Dude, have you ever worked on a TT Z? Sure they have tons of potential but WORKING on a TT Z is the stupidist act I can think of. It is far less productive than running head first into a block wall.
