I'd force them to make it RWD! Or at least AWD for that matter...

I would have made a little less firm suspension. I drive on some rougher pavement and a little more isolation from the road surface would be nice. (Fortunately the ride is quiet so there is some isolation from the extra noise of a rough road surface).

-I definately agree about the AWD action.-I would have really liked the skirts to have come painted-as well as at least some sort of interior styling... specifically regarding the dash board.

I would change the rear styling on the hatchback to be smoother, give the car a more "level" appearance, and redesign the dash for a more "clean" appearance.

- I would've took that concept design and released it as the V.- Redesign the rear bumper for exhaust exits. Would make it easier to put on an aftermarket exhaust without clearance issues.-White light gauges like the Honda's

Oh, almost forgot... cupholders need to be relocated or adjustable or both. I wouldnt mind an umbrella style e-brake, or under-dash foot pedal to free up console space. ABS standard is a given, especially with the brakes. The car doesnt stop well mainly because it is short and top-heavy.

Hmmm...

1. MR25DET, more power! 2. Paint the sideskirts, and paint the chrome trim on the grille.3. I'd get rid of the reflectors in the headlamps.4. Paint the headlamp housings black and make projectors and foglamps stock features.5. Heated side-view mirrors.6. Optional heated leather seats.

Most of these things listed above I would prefer were options rather than stock, just so that people on a budget could still get a decent vehicle. Now the options I would like (even though some have been posted):

-AWD (with more powerful engine)-MR20DET (to supply power to AWD system, I don't think it needs a 2.5)-Illuminated Steering Wheel controls-Telescoping steering wheel-Rear discs (with bigger engine of course)-Towing capacity-Smoother shift mechanism-Make the gauge cluster a little bigger, and the HVAC/Stereo console a little less imposing. (Aside: Do this if you want people to focus their attention on DRIVING instead of phones or music or whatever, I think they will subconsciously focus on the area of the dash that is the most noticable. My .02)

- Larger visible area through the rear window

That's all. One more comment on the e-brake location mentioned earlier. Personally I prefer the handbrake. It's much easier to engage/disengage when one is performing acts of hooliganism. It's also more intuitive for me. I do have a question for Bishop though, what's an 'umbrella style' e-brake?

If you go to the Nissan Canada website, you'll see that heated mirrors are standard http://www.nissan.ca/en/vehicl....html It's at the bottom of the page.

I think 7speed hit the nail on the head. A sport package with the following would be perfect.

-AWD(although it would be nice it would be difficult to keep the cost down)-2.0L Turbo or N/A 2.5L(torque owns)-4 wheel disc brakes-better instrumentation(ie. temp gauge)-other options available on the current sport package-lose the 4x4 suspension

I think those would make for a great little car and none would really bring the cost over 20k which would keep it line with the new sentra.

I forgot one more thing:

-Extendable sun visors, so they are long enough when moved to the side windows, but not so long that they interfere with the rearview mirror. (I had interference on an old (2004) Cavalier, it drove me nuts. I'm not sad that car got written off.

I bought the car because of the overall design, look, and feel of the car. So as far as changing any tin or plastic, I wouldn't change anything. I also find the power plant adequate for commuting as I do. If I want to tow anything, I use my pick up. I'm old school, I don't buy compact cars for towing, I'm silly that way.For convenience, being in Minnesota, I would add the following:Standard block heaterHeated mirrorsStandard ABS

Just a bunch of minor changes I'd make to the S...

1) Automatic headlights -- with the dash illuminated constantly, I'm often driving around without my headlights on

2) Faster windshield wipers at the highest setting -- the current high setting just doesn't cut it

3) A mirror on the driver's side sun visor

4) A panic button on the key fob that isn't so easy to press accidentally -- I'm thinking of ripping the button out of mine... am sick of it going off all the time

5) Get rid of the silly center cup holders

[ED] Mine has them...

2) Faster windshield wipers at the highest setting -- the current high setting just doesn't cut it

[ED] Not sure but when at the highest setting, depending on current speed they move pretty fast.

3) A mirror on the driver's side sun visor

[ED] Mine has mirrors on both sun visors.

4) A panic button on the key fob that isn't so easy to press accidentally -- I'm thinking of ripping the button out of mine... am sick of it going off all the time

[ED] If you can post some pics of this...I'm not sure what this is?

5) Get rid of the silly center cup holders

[ED] Agree on this one...

It's on the keychain remote for the V's with keyless entry.

But you probably have the fancy Intelligent Key thing on yours anyway, so it's probably not an issue.

Actually, I don't. I have the Keyless system. The thing is I don't own a V, I own a T (TIIDA)

I "redesigned" the gas cap hanger on the gas door. Maybe it's me, but I have tried to use that gas cap cradle on the gas door with the cap falling and hitting the paint frequently. So I had a self-adhesive plastic hook in the junk drawer and used it to fix the problem. Now the redesign works fine. See the pix:

Now that's a good idea.

The gas cap hanger isn't designed well.

I like that idea too, Nissan did a shoddy job with their design.

How about that windshield wiper switch? Try washing the windshield without causing it to jump to a new position....

1) Build a version of this car on the Sentra platform with the 2.0L engine and transmissions, but keep the overall dimensions shorter than the Sentra.

2) I'd trade 1" or rear seat legroom with the Sentras longer wheelbase to make the hatch abut 3" deeper.

3) Make the fuel tank 14 Gallons.

4) Give it a telescoping steering wheel.

5) Move the cupholders closer and place the shifter higher up (on the center column?)

7) Offer traction control and stability control

8) Make 16" wheels standard and offer 17" wheels.

9) Offer a mild hybrid option/AWD system. Install an oversize alternator, small battery (occupies some of the fuel ltank space) and have small electric motors power the rear wheels for traction assist at speeds under 30mph and for slightly improved fuel economy.

10) Offer an "S" option with the Altima's 2.5L motor.

EASY! In order of my importance list!

1. Auto lights.2. MOVE THE CUP HOLDERS! Driving a CVT means that the gear shift is basically asthetic. It can be anywhere! It's strictly there for looks and moving the cup holders back would be fantastic. 3. Put the extensions on the visors. Visors are worthless on the side windows. 4. Mark "55" and "65" on the spedometer! I spend a lot of time trying to set the cruse counting the marks!5. I don't need a sunglass holder. I wear them. However a thermometer would be nice.6. Pockets on the back of the two front seats. Some of us need maps for long trips!7. Mirror adjustment button. Why is it by my left shin bone? 8. Fog lights should be standard. They have the button. They have the spot. Put them in!9. Why are my dash lights on during the day? Fix it with the auto lights (See #1.)10. Center arm rest. There is room to make it larger for more comfort and storage. Move the phone charger closer to the front next to the where the cupholders SHOULD be. Two outlets would be nice, but oh well.

Last, and certainly not least, FIX THE TPMS!
