The purpose of this post is to help anyone else out there who is going through what I just went through.....

As some of you know from my previous post, my engine failed on me. I took it to the dealer to see what could be done and after a compression test etc., it was determined the engine needed to be replaced...I was completely depressed, caused by job cutbacks etc., I knew we were not going to be able to replace it.

Breakdown:$8,000.00 Dealer cost to replace with a new engineplus labor$4,000.00 Dealer cost to replace with used 98kmiles engine plus labor$3,000.00 Average cost on used engine plus labor

I found a used engine with 36k miles, one year warr for $1470.00 which included shipping. I was very nervous but took the chance and ordered it, 3 days later it showed up. I have a good friend who installed it for $400.00. First turn of the key she fired right up! I was BLOWN AWAY!

So, for under $2k I found an engine with 36k on it and my baby is now back up and running as smoothly as if she were brand new!

Now, I have my old engine out and plan on rebuilding her as finances permit! Turn around and sell it for whatever I put into it and hopefully break even OR, build it with lots of HP and keep it as a spare! At anyrate, just thought I would pass the good news on. WHAT A GREAT SITE AND QUICK SERVICE!
