I know some of you had given me some advice (GWIZZ and others) about getting my seat bolsters replaced. Well the dealership in Shreveport (Orr Infininti) is going to replace the drivers and passengers side bolsters. The service rep. told me today it was going to cost about $5000, because they are replacing all the switches and everything. Anyway, make sure to inspect your seats because mine were splitting where the holes in the leather are. You have to look very close to see the tears. I also had a seam coming loose on one seat. Maybe I can take pictures and someone could help me post them. Do this BEFORE your warranty runs out. I could not imagine having to pay for this.

So if my seats are doing that, they replace my whole seat for free if I'm still under bumper to bumper?

I think they will just take a leather punch to all of the holes to make them larger.

The holes in my seats are getting bigger everyday. When I took the car in for them to look at them I only had two places that were splitting, now I have about seven. You do not see them unless you really take your time and look. I am proud of Infiniti for not making me beg to get this fixed. That is what you expect from a luxury car brand.

A question. Does you car sit outside and are these areas exposed to the sun? Are these inner or outer boosters?

Perry,My car only sits outside while I am teaching school. At home it stays in my garage. I also have tinted windows. The holes are almost exactly where your butt sits in the middle of the seat. I have only owned the car for 10 months. It was purchased in October of 2005 maybe the old owner had it in the sun. I believe the carfax said the first owner lived in Florida.

I am wondering since mine sits outside most of the time. I have tinted windows as well. My other car also does and is 10 years old. The dash has a bad spot, but that tends to be somewhat normal for it and is along the lines of the airbag skin. Besides the heat I would think humidity would play into it.

My seats show wear marks on piping and also some dimpling (hard to describe on both outer boosters on the seat backs, including the rarely used passenger seat. I have the sport seats in my 08.
