i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with yonaka parts. a buddy of mine had a catback on his turbo'd civic and its a very nice piece. sounded great and actually gave him about 30whp over the junk one he had on before(dont remember, some egay N1 style if i recall)

well an exhaust and suspension arent exactly the same. so has anyone had experience with their coilover?

for reference - http://www.yonaka.com/Suspension_Nissan ... tc2002.htm

i have found them cheaper on other sites (around 900-1k$)

Nope. Never heard of them. Looks comparable to Megans at first glance. Buy 'em and let us know.

But somebody made 30hp with one of their exhausts? Color me skeptical. :squint:

30whp from a catback exhaust, improbable...30whp changing from one catback to another?, impossible.
if someone told me they replaced a factory manifold, down pipe, cat and exhaust with aftermarket on a boosted vehicle and attained 30whp over the oem system...i'd sneer but i'd believe it...but yeah, no.
i looked at the yonake offerings for nissan, looked pretty generic. some of it looked ok, coils themselves didnt look bad and i like the gold/black but i probably wouldnt spend what theyre asking on them.

alright, figured id ask before i just go and buy it.

he did change out the downpipe, cat and exhaust. i prob should have mentioned that lol. dont have dyno sheets bc i do not talk to him anymore. he became shady after buying my gsr so i could buy my current s13.

anything you guys would recommend. i want someting with the adjustability that those have, for around 1200. maybe a bit more but not much. its my daily that will see the occasional drift event.

Everyone will say save up and get quality. I say try that and tell us about it. Who knows it might be really good

^ Look into D-MAX, Stance, Apex, and Fortune Auto.

I would also suggest Powered by Max, but they're a little stiff, as most will say. Great quality though.

If you're in the market for some nice used ones, try to find JIC. Those were some of the best made for the s-chassis.

JIC and Stance were the two more common ones i have been seeing while going thru suspenion threads and build threads.

im cool with a stiffer ride. my previous car had tokico illumina shocks and i had them on 4 or 5(stiffest setting) almost all the time and loved it.

thanks for all the help guys, hopefully will be buying a good amount of stuff once the snow starts to melt.
