I have the AS430's on my 96 Maxima SE. Good grip, very quiet tire. I have the 225 55 17 up front and the 245 50 17 in the rear. I think they are worth the money. Don't know how long the tread life will be just yet. They have been on the car about a month now.

I had Avid H4s tires on my old G20. Good handling, pretty quiet, good treadwear, and they did fine in New England winters. The Goodyear Eagles are terrible tires IMO.

Recently did some tire research. Wanted a performance tire that was great in the wet and had some snow traction. Put Avids on my wife's G. Haven't put but a couple thousand on it, but so far they are great.

Also, put two on the front of my daughter's 00 Max SE. She was telling me just last night how great they were in a recent storm. Will be putting two more on it before she goes off to college in the fall.

YOKO makes a tire for Discount Tire (YK520) and Tire Kingdom (AS430) that is comparable to the AVID's. I spoke with someone at Yoko and they advised buying the cheaper of the three.

I got my local NISSAN dealer to beat the Discount Tire price on the Avids & give me an alignment for $50.... Would rather give Nissan my $$$, they give me discounts on parts!

Also, I would only buy tires from somebody that can do an alignment too.

I would not suggest AVS dB S2's. They stick very well and do pretty well in water but they simply can't be kept in balance, are loud as hell and they wear quickly. For an all-season tire they are absolutely horrible in the winter and will slide you all over the place with a simple light dusting.
