I just noticed tirerack is now carrying the advan neova ad07, wondering if anybody has any experience with it. I'm already reaserching what I'm going to get for my next set of tires (bought 2 sets in the last 3 months ), and these are new on the block as far as max performance summer tires go.

I was looking at specifications and these things are HEAVY. In the 17 inch sizes I was looking at they weigh 26 pounds a tire. The other max performance tire I was looking at was the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2, which weigh 21 and 24 pounds for the staggard 17 inch sizes I am looking at. The Michelins rate at the top, Advans havent had any reveiws yet. I'm hoping the weight means ludicrous sidewall stiffness...

God damn Tirerack...I just called them last week (exactly) and the rep guy here (forgot his name) said they weren't even listed and that they wouldn't be out for a while. Shlt.

They should be stickier in the dry than PS2's...and wear faster.

I have that sweet promo video for these tires on my computer, too bad I can't speak a bit of japanese so I could hear the impressions of all the professional drivers.

I wonder if there is enough added grip to be worth the extra 14 pounds of unsprung weight.

As we all know Michelin uses Ultra Strong but light and more expensive materials [a few dollars per tire more] to accomplish their goals.

Max inflation pressure gives some clues to sidewall stiffness........measure the compression of the tire when weight is placed on it........at equal inflation pressures and temperatures............1200-1600 even 1800 pounds per inch

Interesting they are offering a few sizes in 44 psi max unfortunately the are for light weight cars [91 load index].

14F to avoid tire damage? Wish they would provide a friction coefficent vs temp graph to show how bad they get at 50F wet and dry.

I'm assuming the advans suck in the cold, they say you cant even store them below 10 degrees F or you risk compromising the compound, let alone driving on them.
