I know that all the fools around here scream your name, so its time to try it out.I have been looking at VLSD post on search for about a month now and cant get the picture straight.I AM going to get a j30 one with the 4% taller ratio (i dont care what they say)Its going on my 5 speed 93 s13.

Driveshaft size/type?

Axel size/type?

Anything else? HELP! I only want the tall ratio and cant find solid info for an s13 install anywhere.maybe you cant help but IT WOULD BE SOOOOO COOL if you could. thanx- murph

I do not dabble in the field of altering cars from their manufactured state. so I couldnt tell ya weather it would work or not. but I will browse a bit and see if I could find you a link to something usefull.

yea there is a thread about it but im too lazy rightnow to findit. basically u have to switcht the j30 lsd cover with your s13 cover. then its jsut adding some washers to some of the bottom bolts. the driveshaft and axels should bolt up jsut fine

MAXIMA = FWDI30 = FWDJ30 = RWD

You want the VLSD from an I30, if they make it. They are FWD.

I dont feel its a loss for me at all. I work on these things all day for a living. The way I view a car is seriously different then the way you guys see a car. I look at cars as a peice of machinery much like a lawnmower or washing machine. it has a purpose to serve gets you from point A to point B and back again. Now you look at a car and say to yourself how fast can I make it go. I look at a car and say what would be the lowest maintance best gas mileage vehicle I can get. When I bought my geo metro I was looking for a Geo metro. The only thing important to me is that I have good tunes. Any thing else I do to the car is for comfort purposes since I have to drive it so far. And if I have a comical thought of something to do to it I will for laughs. You ever seen a metro drift? wooo hooo hold-on!!!!

There's a guy in town here who mods Geo Metros for autoxing and road racing. He swapped everythign from a swift gt into his current metro. It runs consistant 16.0's and is a pretty good handling liittle car. Plus, think about the gas mileage with a little 1.3 liter!
