We need a lot more info to help out here. What processor do you have (specific model would be nice since there are many different sockets)? Almost any mobo now has multiple SATA and at least one PCI-Express and at least one PCI slot. What all are you trying to connect to it? Run down all your components and we can give you a hand.

Definitely could use it, but shouldn't. So much better out there for decently cheap now. Budget?

Gonna need ram too...

Intel's LGA1156 tech is dirt cheap. For $200 I'd recommend picking up one of these:http://www.newegg.com/Product/...15222

And snagging a ~$100 LGA1156 mobo of your choice based on the article above.

Any LGA1156 motherboard will require DDR3 memory...so unless you already have DDR3, you'll need to upgrade your RAM as well. Keep in mind that only 64 bit versions of Windows can make use of more than 4GB of RAM. Just go with a cheap dual channel DDR3 kit as LGA 1156 can't make use of triple channel DDR3.

I agree with MoD. The new intels are solid (I'm running a Lynnfield 1156 and have been happy with it). The mobo, processor and ram might set you back a touch over $200, but it'll be worth it.
