The other day I put some powersteering fluid in my car and realized when I get about 5-7 inches away from the valve cover there is this noise like something is loose in there. It's coming from the top of the rear of the valve cover. It's not the normal clicking noise...kinda weird i've never heard anything like that, and yes I freakin searched so don't 'flame' me lol.................oh and as far as PS fluid, what kind do you guys use I was told to use automatic transmission fluid ATF

Your best bet Ilvemynissan is to take off your valve cover and inspect for anything that looks abnormal.

I was originally going to blame upper timer chain guide (can be a common problem on both the KA and SR), but since you said it's coming from the back of the valve cover that rules that possibility out.

Also, for powersteering fluid any standard PS fluid should be fine. I don't exactly know about AT fluid since automotive stores sell PS fluid anyway.
