Hi Everyone,

I have a noise that is coming from the tires that sounds like a thumping noise. I've had the car checked over mechanically by 2 different Infiniti dealers and they are pointing to the tires as the culprit. The tires are COOPER ZEON SPORT A/S OEM size. One rear tire is worn more than the other and the two fronts are worn equally. I will assume that someone cheaped out and replaced just the one in the rear instead of both for the purpose of this thread. I wanted to try to rotate the tires but what impact would I encounter if I rotate the two rears to the front given one is slightly smaller in diameter than the other?

CHEERS!

well it would be better to have it in the front, since the front diff is only active during 15% of overall driving and your gearsets wont get overused, but unless the difference is more than 4/32 of an inch, not much to worry about. The VDC may be a little jumpy on tight turns, but thats all.

Easy to determine yourself. Jack it up and spin the tire. If it has flat spots you will see it.
