First off, I'd like to say the new site looks great, I haven't been on this site in months and I think it looks a lot better than it used to.
Anyway. Sorry if this is repetitive, but I needed some quick answers from someone with a little bit of experience in this situation.
I was driving home, got pulled over for speeding, and realized I didn't have my wallet on me. The cop took down my information, in which he wrote my name with an extra R (Jarred, not Jared). I even said "you put one too many Rs in there". He walked away and came back with a ticket saying I'm an unlisenced driver. Now I would normally go in and just get it reduced to failure to produce a lisence, but that fine is 177 bucks!
Now, can I fight this on that little technicality? I would think that since he took my address down he'd be able to look up the address and see who was lisenced. Any info would be greatly appreciated (especially if you are a cop).
I would think regardless of the outcome (I lose in court) it would still have to get reduced to failure to produce a lisence since I obviously have one. Is this a correct assumtion? Because even if I'm guaranteed a loss I still want to drag it out, and postpone court dates, etc, in hopes he won't show up (it is a crime-ridden town, and my ticket I would think would be the least of his concerns with his caseload).
Sorry for the long post, sorry if it's repetitive, and sorry for not posting in such a long time.
