Sorry to bring this up yet again but I can not get this figured out for the life of me. Right now I have a SAFC2 hooked up that is reading the signal from pin 7 from the ecu. Now if I hook a wire up from there to the Yellow/Red wire for the dash tach the signal on the SAFC2 goes dead (reads 0) and the dash tach still doesnt read.

I had a SOHC cluster in there at first then I bought a DOHC cluster and neither of them get any kind of signal at all. I am at a loss on what to do next. I would really like to get the dash tach working somehow. My Speedo works just fine and I even now have the LS auto one in there. So I assume the power and ground wire for that gauge also would power the tach.

So if anyone can offer any help I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Well I answered my own question. I borrowed a friends cluster and the tach worked just fine the way I have it wired. So someone either sold me a broken tach or a SOHC one. Looks like I need to find a DOHC tach now.
