Yet Another Streaming Audio Question

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hi Folks, I've read though a number of threads here on this topic, but haven't found an answer yet to my particular question.

I have a 2010 EX35, loaded with everything but Nav.

I have an Iphone 4 upgraded to the 4.2.1 software.

The question is: Can I stream audio from my Iphone to the EX via BlueTooth?

A quick read of my owner's manual would suggest that only EX's equipped with Nav have the BlueTooth streaming audio functionality.

However, I can connect my I-Phone to the EX via Bluetooth for phone functionality, and it seems strange that using the same BlueTooth connection, I wouldn't be able to stream audio.

I actually don't even care about the music on my I-Phone, as I don't mind playing my songs from a USB drive. What bothers me is that I'd like to run the audio from my i-Phone's Nav App, (Motion-X GPS Drive) through BlueTooth to my vehicle's stereo. I have friends able to do this on a variety of inexpensive recent model vehicles (able to play games on their IPhone and here the audio through their car's stereo systems as well, very cool).

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks Tricia, unfortunately that video doesn't help me as the vehicle there has the Nav system, and mine doesn't. I'm wondering if there is a solution for a non Nav equipped EX.

Tricia - The link did not help MarkHab but it helped me :) I just got my 2011 EX35 with Nav last Friday and had not been able to stream audio wirelessly from my iPhone using bluetooth. I just watched the clip and realize that the bluetooth phone and the audio are two different connections. It works fine now. Thanks so much!!!

Will this pairing work with a 2009 FX50S?
