My guess would be timing. Do you have cam gears?XTCshri2222 wrote:alright, it's running and driving. But there are so many bugs. The car has extreemly slugish acceleration. I put in a brand new s15 spec R GT28 and it's spooling great, but i hear the waist gate fluttering at 1500. Car has tomei cams, KA throttle body, 550cc injectors, I have a n60 maf i'm not installing till the car is running "acceptable" to limmit problems.
I think timing may be off.. any ideas? the car just feels so slow, slower then it did when it was stock without a t28, tomei cams, big injectors, and a TB. I think i'm running rich, i did lean it out with the safc, and my A/F gauge is showing Ideal, but i'm still shooting fuel smelling smoke out of the exhaust...
My oil pressure on start up cold is 50psi, then at 3000rpms is 75 psi. Once warm it slowly drops pressure to 20psi, and then flys back up under revs. Is this a good oil pressure?
This is my most hated part of the whole car, trouble shooting. Wish i could just stick to bodywork.
+1Try redoing your timing belt. I did mine once and I SWORE it was on there right. I tried everything I could think of. Finally pulled the belt back off, put it back on again and it ran perfect.ks13 wrote:I suspect timing belt off a tooth, or CAS too far retarted.
FPR? Fuel pump?XTCshri2222 wrote:motor mods are:

right now boost is at stock settings for a s15 spec r, think it read 6-8psiright now i have a -2 correction on the safc for the 550cc injectorsnarrow band a/f reading ideallifters make chatter occasionaly I think i have vacume leak also, running 10 psi of vacume and sometimes 20. I know it should be 22-25 psi of vacume I also am shooting smoke, sometimes very heavy smells like fuel. Think that is also causing a lil bit more then normal water out the exhaust.
boost controle and frp are already in the mail.

Do you have an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump?XTCshri2222 wrote:fpr = fuel pressure regulator
