Sorry if this has been covered already...

Forbes has released a list of the 20 most dangers cars:http://tinyurl.com/2yrz9d

Guess who made the list:- Toyota Yaris- Toyota Matrix- Hyundai Accent- Kio Rio- Chevy Aveo- Ford Focus- Scion tC- Mazda 3

Guess who didn't make the list! You guessed it... the Nissan Versa. I suspect the car becomes even cheaper when you factor in the insurance payments.

Some of those drop off the list if purchased with the optional side air bags. I have a 2002 Rendezvous and it's been a great vehicle. Quite frankly, I'd rather be in that than a Honda Fit or a Nissan Versa if I get hit hard at an intersection. Beside the added weight, there's a chance that if you get hit by a smaller vehicle the other car will go under you instead of through you.

Is it a good one for maneuverability? Nope. Can it roll over? Yes. Quite frankly, though, we've certainly never felt insecure in it.

Plus, it suits our needs in certain situations better than most vehicles. It seats 7, has leather and luxury, gives me 27mpg on the highway and almost no mechanical problems.

There's a lot more to vehicle safety than the type of car.
