The bureaucrats don't enforce existing law as it applies to spending taxpayers' money, so what do we do? Try to pass another law!

http://www.dailybulletin.com/ci_14652443

How about enforcing the existing laws? And firing those in the system who don't follow them?

It is absolutely outrageous that ANY type of retirement benefits or unemployment benefits are offered to ANY elected person, anywhere in the country. That includes those retirement and health benefits those elected people in Washington, D.C. have.

They are too busy doing other things like:

"Maryland's House of Delegates has voted to prohibit reading text messages while driving.

Delegates voted 135-2 in support of the measure Thursday.

Violators of the proposed ban would be guilty of a misdemeanor and could face fines of up to $500.

Baltimore County Delegate James Malone is behind the measure that would close a loophole in Maryland's ban on texting while driving. Last year, state lawmakers voted to prohibit writing and sending texts while driving, but the new law did not prevent residents from reading texts behind the wheel.

The bill now moves to the Maryland Senate for consideration."

and

"MYFOXNY.COM - Some New York City chefs and restaurant owners are taking aim at a bill introduced in the New York Legislature that, if passed, would ban the use of salt in restaurant cooking.

"No owner or operator of a restaurant in this state shall use salt in any form in the preparation of any food for consumption by customers of such restaurant, including food prepared to be consumed on the premises of such restaurant or off of such premises," the bill, A. 10129 , states in part.

The legislation, which Assemblyman Felix Ortiz , D-Brooklyn, introduced on March 5, would fine restaurants $1,000 for each violation. "

and....how about making fishing illegal?:http://sports.espn.go.com/outd...75762

Next up: how about taxing pizza, soda and such to cut obesity?http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/201...d_tax

Think they are trying to look busy so they don't have to address any serious political issues?

They only want to impose their will on people, not make things better for the country as a whole. Goes for the national Gov't in general at this point.

And with people like Pelosi and Boxer (among others) the states policies are working their way more and more into the national level. You would think with the financial issues in their own state people would not think their solutions would be the best for the rest of the country.....

Once a politician gets to the Washington level there is a total disconnect from the state. They no longer see their participation in the state government as having anything to do with current problems. They blame it on the people who either remained or are newer to Sacramento.

Does not stop the fact that they are "of the same creed" and mindset that are at the state level

People who text while driving should be euthanized and their bodies should be burned as fuel.

Just thought I'd toss that out there. I will PERSONALLY fund the jack-booted state thugs that enforce this policy.
