yes ive searched for this problem ... ok here goes... i just bought a 1990 240 hatch... the power door locks work, except for when i close the door... i can lock the driver side door from the inside and the passenger side door will lock also, but as soon as i close the door the y both unlock... the passenger side can be locked from the out side with the key but the driver side cannot due to the fact that the cylander wont turn to lock, just unlock... i figured someone tried to break into the car and broke the cyllander... does anyone know why this happens? i dont want to leave the car anywhere since i cant lock itthanks-g-

Sounds like your lock cylinder is shot if the key won't turn.

You know that you have to hold the outside handle open as you shut the door to keep it locked right?

Touchdown, do you have to hold your handle up to keep your driver door locked? I have a 93 convertible and I just lock my door from the inside and shut it.

Topless: I have to hold both handles open when I lock and shut the door, or else they just come unlocked.
