things done:basic ka24e > ka24de swap

wiring is 100%. this i know, i spent 4 months on the wiring of this car. it should even be able to fool the dealers computer hookups into thinking that this was a de from the getgo.

BRM exhaust

It idles extremely high. Like 1500 or so. I dont mind, but the inspection place does... go figure.the car that it came out of was a 91 auto, so now i am using the 91 auto ecu.the car ran fine for the first 3 months. then one night, it ran like crap. it would die between shifts, i had to keep it revved at stoplights.so, i replaced the water temp sensor on the front of the engine, as i noticed that it would run differently if run, then shut off, and restarted while its hot.so with the water temp sensor replaced, it idles between 1300 and 1600. I adjusted the idle screw... it ran perfectly for one night. now it idles high again.i have no idea what the problem is... =\

any suggestions would be awesomedoes anyone think that getting safc ii might clear this up? allowing me to tweak things more and whatnot? (i plan to upgrade to det in the very near future provided i can make this ***** car run right =P)

thanks in advance.

That stinks of an IACV, seriously.

I have some driveability symptoms that arent the same but they change after restarted when hot like yours. I am very interested in knowing what you find to fix it because this may help me with mine. My problem is i chipped an ecu and installed it without testing the ecu first. I havent had any time to check any of my sensors except for replacing my temp sensor too.

Check your IACV, and make sure that it is clean. See if that helps. Also, check the connections on the harness. If you did some wiring, maybe you have a connection issue there. Worth looking at, isn't it?
