Last Sunday at around 10 p.m., my G got rear ended in a parking lot. No witnesses, no camera, no nada... Someone probably backed out from their parking spot probably backed into my car and just left. How sad... car just less than 2 months old. Here are some pics:

yikes...thats a crappy circumstance. Hopefully you don't need a new bumper! Let us know how much the repair bill is.

Some people should be publicly lashed...

I feel the pain man. I had my ML320 for 1 month and the same thing happened to my rear bumper. $500 deductable and $530 to repair. Had the bumper replaced and the next week went out after work and had the same thing on the front and back bumper.

Yah I'm pretty bummed ... Hopefully I don't have to wait too long for the repair. I'll update when my car goes in the shop. I sorta recall a large black SUV of some sort parked somewhat near my car. I'm thinking it was that SUV that maybe hit me. I parked in a space where there were no cars next to me but now I have to think about who's parked across where they will be backing up on my side.

I usually park with at least 6+ spaces between me and the nearest car. What really sux it over the last year it seems every time I come out there is someone else who parked away from everyone as well while parking right next to me. I'm like "WTF".

Hell, at the grocery there are no-parking "box-outs" every 10 spaces and I usually try parking next to them so I can "straddle the line" and avoid a door ding. Last few times I came back and someone had squeezed themselves into that no parking area anyway.

I hate hit & runs, even if it's my fault, I like to see the idiot that damaged my car.

Probably not worth claiming on insurance....I don't know if they're nationwide or not, but Courtesy Collision has done amazing work on my G. They can actually recondition your bumper by heating it up, reforming it, and then repainting it. Looks like new. Definitely try to find someone who can recondition it for you. Save a couple hundred bucks.

To keep people from dinging your door, just be like all the other as$holes and take up two spaces. Then people want to key your car out of annoyance, but they definitely won't ding your door

ouch...i feel your pain, looks like mine. Mine was about $950 to fix.

Yes i agree with the last couple comments....you try to stay away from everyone and park far from everyone and when you get back to your car...theres someone parked next to you (usually a crappy car) and a door ding on the G35. People just don't respect other people's cars. I hate that.
