yet another brake upgrade question

i see it all the time, z32 brakes onto a 240sx, wow

I see it goes for as much as 200$ or higher for a pair of TT fronts caliper/piston

Why not just get rebuilt ones from kragen or pepboy for about 100$ ?

There must be something I am missing because I can't figure it out.

their rebuilds suck. I bought a new rear caliper cuz the bleeder seized and the edges rounded so I couldn't do the bleed. When I got the rebuilt caliper, I had the caliper on for about 10k and then come around inspection time, I noticed that the boot was in worse shape than the one that's been on my car for 15 years. So I ordered a new seal kit. Much better. 100 bucks, I think that's not too bad per caliper but you should change the seals if you go that route and order new oem shims/springs/clips.

by the way, where can I get redrilled rotors for q45? the redrilled quote I got were 215 for brembo blanks and 225 for for slotted and drilled

yikes! man there's a guy local who got his q45 slotted/x-drilled off ebay for 100. I got my set of brembos all the way around for 190 shipped. You're paying way too much man.
