yes or no for exhaust?

im doing my exhaust manifold gaskets on my CA, but the local parts store doesn't carry them, can i use Permatex High Temp. Gasket Maker (the copper stuff) and be ok?

also, on my turbo to manifold bolts, high temp. thread locker ok? Thanks.

im 100% sure that it is going to leak.

your going to have to order it man.

just order a gasket the sealent may work but hard tellin how long it will last.

Ur 100% wrong, I just wouldnt do it because its gonna get messy. Way better to use a actual metal gasket if you are gonna take it on and off at all.

i do NOT plan on taking the turbo/manifold off again for years to come. (hopefully..)

what about the threadlocker..anyone have any luck with that stuff?

You can but I think the least tight one, if that makes sense. You have to use 120 ft/lbs to break it free so... yeah.

ok. i'll probably try out that high temp. copper RTV gasket maker stuff and the lowest strength high temp threadlocker for the turbo nuts

you may be right.

i would never do it. its impossible to tell if you got it sealed correctly. it is the turbo manifold so if it doesnt seal correctly your going to possibly have problems.

if it was on an N/A application i would say go for it. whats the worst that could happen? but all that comes to mind when i think about this is chunks of RTV getting spit into the turbo
