i had a problem with 90degree left handers, then i put on different tires and went through the same left hander with confidence.. sometimes i think the wear on tires makes them less grippy in certain high speed situations...

Hahhahaha sorry man..i know this thread my be kinda old but hell with it. I asked where you like because well i live here in Los Angeles Cali and im having a kinda hard time to find some good spots for a drift practice. Every spot that i find thats pretty good is either always patrolled by cops or just really exposed. Anywho...i've been going for it and practing at this really exposed spot and have had the cop light shined upon me a couple times.

My question is do you know what kinda trouble i can get for drifting in a like parking lot(empty)?

oh and sdtouge, have'nt had the time to try that, ive been sick *** hell for 2 weeks..>_<.
GoD...all that for drifting...that sucks.

Im not sure how many points one has on their driving record but i have like one left(if infact there are 4 points that a person recives) which means i should probably try and not F$#k around on the parking lots or other stuff like that...man this sucks.....how many points does a person have?? i know here in Cali we get 4 points when you start driving and well in my case i got two taken off for an accident and one for speeding...is it 4 points??

I got my car taken away (by police), wreckless driving (2points), lucky small fine in court, AND a Lesson learned.

i too have more trouble initiating left drifts. here is what i am doing. I am going out when the ground is wet, since it is a tad easier. the other thing i do (and this is just me) is put on slower music an blast it to get a good rythem.

sometimes i feel weird drifting on right turns because of the A pillar right in view of where you're going...

going left seems more comfortable because you're looking through the entire windsheild... (i'm stronger drifting on a left hand turn...)

i can't help but notice that everytime....

but, it's all mental...

Well Ive been driving with my license for over a year now and still havnt even been pulled over, but that's just out of sheer luck and Ive had a couple of good scares, one time I went balls out in a parking lot at like 10 o clock, the lot was empty, and it was complete sideways smoke, and lots of noise, and there just happened to be a cop in the parking lot with his lights off, he flashed his headlights at me, i turned around, drove slowly away, and he passed me going the other way on the road and gave me an evil look, then and only then did I proceed to poop my pants. As for the drifting to the right thing its very difficlult for me when its dry, wet its not problem and get practically 90 which ever way I go. But it might be a power issue, cause I got a stock ka that sputters, stalls, pulses and hesitates on acceleration, but other than that its perfect. Im also running open differential, and it seems to me that it makes the right tire spin way more easily than it does the left. Something about the rotational mobob of the drive shaft or something. Anyways, I drifted almost all day in the rain, mostly right handers, and when I came home it was my right tire that was the most worn, though my left did have wear. It would make sense though cause if your turning left(and your lsd isnt grabbing) the inside wheel(your right side) would be spinning, preventing you from goin sideways.

The thing about linking them, does it have to do with the fluid being cooled down if you havent spun the tires or accelerated hard sometime before. Cause dosnt vlsd work off expanding fluid between to mobobs which engages it. This would mean that the fluid maybe has time to heat up as your linking left to right handers. Just throwing something out there. Maybe like the other dude suggested about changing to a better fluid.
