Last Friday I took my girlfriend out. Went to dinner than to watch fireworks. It was really nice out so I decided to take the Z instead of the Maxima. After fireworks we go to hang out with her friends and get something to eat. I park the car under a street light to keep an eye on her. When we are hanging out in the parking lot, her friends and a few other people ask me whats with the stickers on the car. I politely try explaining to them I actually race the car. They (naturally maybe???) assume I mean street race. With that, 3 guys wanted to race me. I decline of course knowing I have better things to be doing with my gas and license. Then the comments come....if you have stickers and say you race your car, why don't you run it. Wanting to end it quickly, I pull out my business cards I had made up with my autocross and track day schedule and hand them to guys who are trying to egg me on. If you really want to race me, here is where I'll be, I don't race on the streets, if you think you can beat me, put your money where your mouth is ..ok, thanksThat got them to shut up pretty quick before we had to leave. Yes my car has stickers on it, but they're not the stupid APC, wannabe ricer stickers. End rant....sorry. When things like this happen, I almost don't want to take the car out, every time I take it out someone wants to race me. I just want to get where I'm going please!!!Pics

I'm telling ya! I gotta find someone local that sells the sheet magnets that I can cut out to size and put the stickers on those. Its unreal how many people want to race me now. I make it an effort to drive only 5mph over the limit with the car.

Racer, not ricer. Wher stickers have purpose besides holding a poorly fitted bodykit together.

Unless someone's paying you to run their company name decals, there's no reason to have them.

Sorry to say, you kinda "asked for it".

I concur with the magnetic number plate idea, though!

numbers and class are required for any autocross event, and divisional, nationl tour, prosolo, or runoff event requires you run contingency stickers additionally manufacturers offer contingency money to winners sporting their logo

I've been required to wear GRM challange sponsors stickers on my cars, and I've been to divisional events where I was required to wear their sponsors stickers, I also have local Z club stickers and Nico stickers

LDstang is wearing the stickers he is required to wear or that offer contingency money, he's not the average ricer witht he "roll call" stickers taht has never been part of a sanctioned motorsports event
