Yes, I did my fuel pump, and the Q still runs.

Yesterday I did my fuel pump and it was easier than I thought it would be. I'd like to thank tangalora for a very detailed thead that really helped me out, and all the info and helpful members of NICO. OK, big deal, its only the fuel pump. It's not like I did the plenum, but if you know me, I'm not the most mechanically inclined person in the world. I'd also like to thank my best freind John for helping me out. He's not a mechanic, but an extra set of hands always helps.

Here's some pictures of my Q and the fuel pump.

This is a big week for me because my supension work and brakes will be done. Tokicos, t-rods, front bushings, rear sway kit, and pads and rotors. A 4 wheel alinment, and I'm done, for a while at least. I still need to do my plugs but I'll wait. I've spent a lot now. I found a buck fifty three in change under the seats that I will put to future repairs.

Thanks, I'm glad you like my ride. By the way, let me correct myself. My Q has always been running. This is my daily driver. I was just tring to get the loud hornet's nest out of my trunk before it burned out my fuel pump controler, witch by the way looks like there was no sign of overheating or burning to the FPC, so I got the old pump out before it did any further damage. Man how backward arse to have to pull out the back seats and back shelf to pull out the pump. Infiniti should have found a way to be able to take the storage box out by the trunk.I cant imagine that thats the way they do it at the dealer, but I guess pulling out the tank brings it's one hardships too.

I tell you one thing. It's nice not to hear that buzzing in my trunk any more. I drove to work with my radio off just to hear the quietness of the new pump. Big thanks to the NICO site. I would have never knew there was anything wrong with my fuel pump if it wasn't for NICO.
