Yes.. another Speedo problem

'89 Fastback

My speedomoter doesn't work. Neither does my Trip or my Odo. Tach, and all other guages work fine.

Checked the 2 wires coming out of the Vehicle Speed Sensor at the transmission with a test light while the car was running, no light on either of them. Tested it after the little "plug" near the starter, no current flow there either. Just curious if anyone would have a 90%: "Yes its the speed sensor" before I go spend $60 at auto zone for a new one.
