I ripped 40% of the teeth off the counter shaft with a 4.36 vlsd and drag tires. I want to thank highjacker for his KA/SR transmission tutorial. It took me about 8 hours, alot of beer, a little KFC, and some extra hands but it all went very smooth. I swaped in a 96 S14 transmission with 106K miles and it shifts like butter and no more input shaft bearing noise. Thanx again highjacker, it was pretty simple with the tutorial. By the way, the gearing feels pretty much the same, except 5th is a little taller for gas with the 4.36.

JDM 89-90 180sx cars with the CA18 or R32 skyline HCRII(4 door) with the RB20. I got mine from J-HOT for $213 shipped to the door(no axels). It has solid mounts and bolts up to the s chassis but it takes 5 bolt axels. I had a J30 3.91 and this is a much better diff. It mounts solid and doesn't require buchings, and the LSD is much more responsive. Not to mention the much lower gear. I love it.

GT2871R .64 ar @21psi. Stock head and cams with built bottom end. I lost .7 seconds going from street to drag tires but the result was breaking the transmission after 50-100 passes. I got the drag radials last October & have made several passes in the 11's with 235/60/15 MT ET radials. You will have a hard time breaking into the 11's without at least drag radials, reguardless of power. Those times were with a 3.91 R&P and radials. I will be running the 1/8th Friday with 26x8.5 wrinkle walls and my new 4.36 R&P. What a way to break in the new transmission!!!
