Finally got to check it out!! 100 oct. is $6.009 a gallon here. Crazy! but I tried it anyway. It's amazing how fast the dollar amount goes up when gas costs that much. btw..... credit card fill ups max out at $50.00. And that's only = 8.2 gallons!! oh yeah it smells so good!!!!:D

Yes, Lead free. I think they have it at Raceway or Speedway here and at Jr. Food Mart near the race track.

I think there's some 102 or 103 in Murfreesboro here, the little airport is supposed to have like 110 as well I believe.

I think the 100 or so is about 4 bucks a gallon though.

Sorry bout that. I was just so excited that I spent $56 for 9 gallons of fuel (stupid..LOL) from 76. Has its own noozle. Feels pretty good. Runs smoother , picks up way faster , smells great burnt! But that is all speculation. You know when you add a mod and you're like "I feel it!". Then you time it and its slower. haha. So I'm going to tracks tonight and really see if it is doing anything.

Howzit , MSM were is sunoco? The only other place I know you can get race gas is RON'S. They have 103 oct five gallon cans for 42 bucks. thats $8.60 a gal.

well, first off, if you dump high octane fuel in your vehicle and dont up the boost or atleast advance the timing, you might as well just drive around pouring it out the window, cuz thats what your doing...

the whole point of higher octane is so the fuel will resist detonation, allowing you to run crazy boost. if you just pour it into your car and not make any sort of changes, your not doing a damn bit of good.

might as well stick to 93:rolleyes

im just saying if the car runs fine on 93 with no knock, then using a higher octane with out tuning for it does no good.

There are actually several places in socal to get high octane race gas. Go to the Union 76 website and there should be a list. It's limited, but it's available. I have seen a 76 in Vegas that actually had a 100 octane pump. I'm not sure where Las Vegas Motorspeedway is in relation to it so I'm not sure if it's there becuase of that or because of boats or for off-roaders. There's got to be pretty good demand for them to actually have it on pump. I believe most places out here pump straight from a barrel.

Good that somebody pointed this out. it really is pointless if you don't have a detonation problem.

Whoa whoa back the truck up!!! Who said I wasn't "boosting"!! You need to settle down and ask before you get all crazy. Jeez!! I was just pointing out that I finally found 100 oct at the pump here.

Fyi...I'm on the juice and my system cuts out 2/3 track(to lean). So I'm not "wasting" anything. And I'm going to test it tonight at the track!! Why U MAD!!!

dont worry there tuff guy, i didnt say you werent boosting, its just that if your not pushing MORE boost than you do on normal pump gas, its not doing a bit of good to run race juice.

76 stations do sometimes carry 100 octane, but very pricey. I think alcohol injection is probably cheaper after the initial investment ( which in and of itself isn't THAT expensive) and probably more effective in preventing detonation.
