See this is what's confusing me.. If I go with 3000k (which is yellow) will it make my yellow fogs more yellow-ish? or brighter?DJ_B_Easy wrote:You are going to want as close to the same Kelvin temp/color that you have now, which is probably right around 4300-5000, or higher. If you throw a yellow (3000) bulb in there the tint actually filters out most of the usable yellow light and you get wash.
Enjoy your blown ballasts!
oh so it did make it brighter. Did the yellow change color at all? cuz some people were complaining that 3000k kit on yellow lens turns the light green-ish.NoLimitAltima wrote:On my nissan Titan I have yellow fog lights and install a ddm tuning 35watt 3000k kit and loved it, makes a nice bright yellow
Science says no, but everyone else above says yes they will be brighter? I think they may appear brighter, but the amount of actual usable light is going to be decreased. I have a link to show the reasoning, Ill dig it up and edit it in.SanoSuKe wrote:See this is what's confusing me.. I want them to be brighter but at the same time keep my current color.
i bought some off eBay and at first it turned out to be yellowish white (on right), but with a yellow tint over the lens, it turned out to be very greenish (on left). Daytime picture probably isn't the best. But switching to a better quality ballast helped change it to a golden yellow.SanoSuKe wrote:oh so it did make it brighter. Yes. DDM 35w kit.DJ_B_Easy wrote:^DDM? Basura...
Good now we can see the different outcomes. Except mine is different than yours and aphu's. My foglights are not tinted..the actual glass/plastic is yellow. It's the spyder kit.mikethemike wrote:How funny, I'm actually in the same predicament as you are. I just tinted my fog lights yellow, and I was told to go with HIDs because one guy used the regular halogen bulbs and it burned the vinyl.
I'm thinking going 4300K, that way its just a white light and hopefully wont change the color of the bulb.
Ahh, niceSanoSuKe wrote:Yes. DDM 35w kit.DJ_B_Easy wrote:^DDM? Basura...

what is happening tuesday. there's a whole contingent of us bay area coupes that would like to be informed of these kind of things.lucky#sleven wrote:Sano, I believe I just saw you on the 101 south by the n mathilda exit. Major props to your car, looks mean. I was the red coupe very plain right now, come Tuesday though big things are happening.
You can easily fix this with a relay. Although it would have been easier to tap into the OEM wiring and it seems you may have butchered it?SanoSuKe wrote:I created a switch just for the foglights. It's a lot of wires and confusion, I don't recommend it. My battery died twice at school because my foglights don't turn off when the car is off and I keep forgetting to turn them off.
