If I remember correctly, it's a b*tch pulling off just about anything on that engine. You could maybe try torqueing each fastener about a quarter turn. I did that on my truck and stopped the valve cover leaks, or at least slowed it to where it doesn't matter at the moment. If you do decided to replace them, might as well do the plugs. I have a set of the OEMS FS in my classifieds thread. LMK if you need them... very negotiable.Q451990 wrote:I think I'm at about 113,0000 miles now. Still running strong... I think I have a leaking valve cover somewhere, because I'm starting to get a wiff of burning oil sometimes, but I haven't located it yet. I did something like that on a VQ30DE timing cover that was starting to seep a small amount of oil around the edges. The old RTV must have started to shrink. So I re-tightened the bolts with a small 1/4 drive ratchet. Be careful not to over tighten. It took out just enough slack to stop the leak for the time being.DrewQ45 wrote:If I remember correctly, it's a b*tch pulling off just about anything on that engine.
