OK so I've owned the Pathy (111,XXX miles) for almost exactly one year and have done a decent amount of maintenance:

-(2) Oil changes since I only put about 6000 miles a year (2nd car)
-Spark plugs, rotor, cap (wires still looked good and I don't have any issues so I left them in)
-Changed the transmission fluid and filter
-Changed the differential fluid
-Flushed the brake system with fresh synthetic DOT3 fluid
-Air Filter
-Lubricated the driveshaft
-Lubricated the spare tire chain link
-replaced passenger side window switch
-replaced the power steering fluid
-replaced the fuel filter
-installed cabin filter (didn't come with car)
-recharged the A/C system
-flushed the cooling system
-replaced PCV valve
-shampooed the interior carpet (pulled the seats out)
-waxed/clay bar

Timing belt was replaced by the previous owner(original) at 75,000 miles so I think I'm good for awhile
-inspected the drivebelts and they still look pretty good on both sides, tension good, no squealing
-inspected front and rear brakes and bad/shoe thickness is still good.

I know there's stuff I still need to do and if anyone has ideas please let me know.

I'd like to give a big thanks to all who posted the DIY's and has offered help!!

Get out the owner's manual, look in the maintenance section, and make sure you haven't missed anything.

Rotated tires? That's the only thing I see missing for regular scheduled maintenance. Interval is 7.5k miles.

Yeah, I checked it out Chuck, all the other stuff was inspection only. I still have yet to check the wheel bearings but the previous owner had them repacked in 2009 when the car had 97,000 miles so I think I should be ok. I still want to lube areas like doors and moonroof but haven't got around to it.

As for tires, I used my tread depth gauge and they are all wearing out evenly. Previous owner performed an alignment just prior to me buying the car so I lucked out there.

I don't think you're missing anything, then. Lubricate your locks and hinges. Here's some inane discussion about the best lube for door hinges. :) Maybe pull through the dealer and make sure there are no recalls that haven't been performed yet, and make sure all of your instrument cluster bulbs work (engage parking brake, set ignition to "ON"). Do you have a 2WD or 4WD?

LOL, yeah I'm on BITOG forums and it's crazy how they get so deep into lubricant discussions. It's funny to see some of the folks bickering over what to use or whats better. I generally use WD40 or something of that nature to lubricate stuff over the years and sometimes multi-purpose grease.

I actually had to replace the odometer bulb that burnt out a little while back, was thinking about the LED bulb replacement but I figure since all the other lights worked I'd leave them alone.

The truck is a 2WD. Do you know of the major recalls for the car off the top of your head? I hate bringing in my car to the dealer unless it's necessary. They'll probably try to sell me some work they need to do to the car.

Recall stuff is a no-charge item right?

Recalls are free, yes. There is that strut recall that is quite recent and just began yesterday, so if you live in an area with a lot of rust you should go get that checked out. My local dealership never tries to upsell anything to me (but then again my maintenance is usually always done already :P), but obviously your mileage may vary. There is also the fuel filler tube recall, which is a must if you live in a rust-prone area.

I also have a 2WD. I moved the bulb from the useless "tire carrier ajar" spot (bottom far left) to the "A/T OIL TEMP" spot (one directly above it). It lights up when ignition is "ON", but I haven't seen it light yet when driving (good that I don't have an overheating transmission, but bad in the sense that I wanna know if it works! heh). It's there from the factory for 4WD models, but I see no reason why it wouldn't work on 2WD models as there's still a transmission temperature sensor. I also removed the nonfunctional "low washer fluid" light since I have a US model, and to modify everything just to have a low washer fluid sensor involves replacing the washer fluid reservoir with a Canadian one which has the sensor. I'm not even sure if US models have the necessary wiring harness for the sensor, but I digress now. I see you posted in the "Changed the dash lights" thread, so you know how my interior looks with LEDs.

Yeah, your interior looks real nice with the LED's. It makes it look so much brighter. IF I were to change any of the bulbs it would be the map and dome lights for extra visibility.

I also went to this site http://www.safercar.gov/ to check for recalls on my car and it brought up the same things you mentioned(fuel filler rust, suspension rust) However, there was also a recall for headlight assemblies that didn't have amber in them, they say it was some kind of safety issue not have amber corners . I don't live in an area where they salt the roads so I should be ok.

With all this work I've done on the car the last year I'd like to keep this thing. I'm one of those people that gets tired of cars real easy. I always do the same thing, buy a used car and perform as much preventative maintenance as I possibly can and by that time I get tired of it and sell it. It's such a waste to put all that work in and have it go to another owner who may do the same thing and throw away good parts. I'm hoping I keep this truck for awhile.

Nissan replaced my fuel filler tube even though my PF has always lived in Florida. If your vehicle is affected you could have them perform the recall.

As far as I know if little to no corrosion is found on the strut, the dealer will apply an anti-corrosion sealant. I'll be having Nissan inspect my PF in a couple days for this recall, so I'll post my results.
