paid the guys reserve (5400$) its really nice, only a few very small dings in the paint and one dent on the gas cap. everything works great, although when i put it in 1st rolling up to a light, it grinds like 1 out of 20 times. anyone know how much it is to replace syncros?

i want to eventually do an rb25det swap in a couple months (during summer) so if i get any mods between now and then, i dont want to buy anything that is usless when i get the new motor. so buying headers would be stupid. how about intake? i dont know very much about turbo configs but from what i know i doubt an aem cold air or somthing for a ka24de would work on a rb25det (please correct me if i am wrong).

suspension has nothing to do with this except the front end will be heavier (would i need stronger springs or anything like this?)

and on exaust, i want to buy an exaust for a turbo application so i think i can just deal with the loss in horsepower while using the ka24de (unless this is somehow really bad / makes the car undrivable or somthing?)

thanks for putting up with my stupid questions guys! :))

someone posted on here before that 1st gear doesnt have a syncro. Not sure if its true or not but a lot of 240's have the 1st gear grinding problem. Just dont downshift into 1st unless your almost stoped, you should have enough torque in 2nd most of the time anyway

Oh gezzz, I guess you didn't know that leather is bad for you. You should just take the seats out immediately and give them to me. :D

Nice car, I love that color.

I don't think the 240 has first gear syncros (don't own a 240 so I'm not completely sure). You should come to a stop before going into 1st, sometimes you can still slip it in a roll but I wouldn't since there's a chance you'll grind gears and that's not good.

Congrats on the car! Looks great :)

very nice car and a great deal for the milage. i'd say with that milage the KA shoudl be in great shape so why do an rb swap. it will be a lot easier and more cost effective later on whe u need to replace parts to stick with the ka. rb parts i hear are hard to get and very expenisve. with only 62k and some decent tuning 300rwhp should be achiveable for about the same i would think of the rb swap alone. jsut my view on it. about the intake tho dont waste your money. exhuast go for it, do suspension and brakes after that. get a short shifter good clutch and electric fans. wish i found a deal like that last year.
