yeah i followed WD's and everyone elses advice and i put in a fresh magnaflow 3 inch cat, and retarded the hell out of the timing, and put in a gallon of denatured alcohol into my tank when i'm around 1/4 tank full. since i don't live in CT i don't feel like failing then having to drive all the way back up from NYC just to potential fail again. so i just did al this on my first shot to be safe. my results are

HC limit: 125 mine : 50

CO limit: .67mine : .29

NOX limit: 1458mine : 1394

i hardly passed because of hte NOX. i have no EGR btw, i am however running iridiums that are one step colder so maybe thats why i just squeezed past it. also it was close to 70 degrees today so maybe the engine was running hotter then usual to have alittle more NoX.

yup, now i can put in my damn 555cc injectors with my jwt ecu and start adding more boost. luckily in CT, you only have to get tested every 2 years. i got away with not being tested for a whole year!!! so basically saying the last time i got tested for in april 2002

Glad to see another KA-T passing CT emissions...I passed about a year ago. As far as I know, you and I are the only two lol. Now I want to see someone pass with a JWT ECU, completely rebuilt engine, 50 lb/hr fuel injectors and a Z32 MAFS...

Also, I see that you have an S-AFC...did you adjust this at all to pass, and if so, what were the adjustments?

Nice job!

Do you have access to a wideband? I'd be interested to know what kinda ratios you are running at the testing RPMs, as well as how much timing your engine is seeing. I am due in june and I am convinced I will be able to make this car pass... one way or another

do you guys have to test with load on the motor? here in tx we get an idle test an another at, i think, 3000rpm on rollers.

they test the car on the rollers. i didn't mess with the SAFC setting at all when i got inspected. i left it at like -16%. i know at idle and part throttle i'm around mid 14's when i was getting it tuned.
