Do wutcha gotta do during tough times, after reading, and seeing what people have done and such i figured id give it a go also. Looks way better then it did before I must say.

When Purchased:

And now, about a month later or so.

Just go back over it with glass black so it doesn't look like primer. I'll be honest, I wouldn't proclaim this to be an improvement.

Fine added, to the very bottom you go

body looks a little bit better, curious on how it was fixed. I'd like to take a magnet around your car and see what happens

final conclusion:

No self-dignity for your car but have BIG PLANS for her in the future but for now you thought it would be rad to really make her look good and your sir failed at that.

solution: dish the dreams and come to reality and '' DO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO IN THE TOUGH TIMES CORRECTLY''

O and the hood pins...superb

ive seen better rattle can jobs, but i have seen ALOT worse also, and like other people said, at least its one color now.

although to the OP i think you chose the wrong time to paint your car flat black, wait till you go to work now that its getting hot outside and your flat black car has been baking in the sun for 8 or 9 hours.

i made that mistake once on a thunderbird i had, i was prepping the car for paint and there was alot of bare metal and i ran out of primer, the only thing i had was some rattle can flat black (not sure where it even came from) so i used it so i wouldnt have to drive to the store, i drove around like that for 2 weeks and it was HORRIBLE, after just a short drive i thought i was going to need a spachela to pry my ballsack off the side of my leg

Ugh come on dude! Why can't you just go get a $1500 paint job??

Looks good to me. It's one color... that's all that matters. If you feel good about it who cares about these guys.

Lmao thanks for the comments boys, yes i know its flat black..but its also a personal liking and simple and straight to the point..you should see some of the cars in the area lmao..fake a** vinyls and s***..i like the basic one color coats. Future paint job is when ill have it in the shop for some time and get every thing on the body worked out all at one time, this is obviously a temp fix for a 17 yr old that cant afford a 2k+ paint job..cuz that's not happening right now, got clutch and timing stuff to knock out first, mechanical > cosmetic. Flat black > Gloss black also..My final paint job LP2 will have its clear coat, not this temp job. Flame it or love it, but everyone starts somewhere..

EDIT:

Those 2 3000gts would be my mothers lol.

Also the hood pins are s***..i know, i purchased it like that and im not a fan..but there's no hood latch, was crushed by prev owner apparently he got in a bit of a front end..I will be getting a rad support area re done and then ditch the pins and get a new hood.

Rocker panel rust area was actually cut out and re welded by a prof body man, same with the floor.

Ty for the props..Eh yea i know what you mean about the engine bay thing lol, Just wasn't a big fan of spraying in color I guess, the flat black to me speaks "project/under construction" but It will def go in the shop for my final results in the future. Yea its 2 coats of primer, then 2 coats of Satin black acrylic lacquer. Sanding was done before priming, but i wasn't gonna get all involved in wet sanding after coats or anything..Its basic, and looks a lot cleaner, I personally cant complain.
