They dont believe that i can drive a stick. but I have many friends that all drive or know how to drive stick that have taught me and are still teaching me.

They will let me mod it but i have to pay for it all. unless i convince them otherwise. im working on getting them to buy me the conversion but i dont know about the swap. that prolly wont happen for quite some time. :(

BUT GOOD NEWS!

my mom got the vehicle report on the one i picked out and it all check out fine. only thing that worries her is that is spent some time in new york and indiana. it only been in GA since 2000. but no worries its off for my dads approval as we speak. any way has anyone seen those do-luck rims? BAD *** i think those are what im gonna get......... cool cool

ahh... brings new meaning to "driving MOM'S car..."

I wish all I had to do was convince my parents to buy me stuff.

Good luck though I guess.

c'mon, the kid's 16. I agree it aint cool to brag about all this stuff your parent's are buying you when everyone on the board are bustin' their chops to afford what they got, but damn don't hate him cuz his parent's wanna spoil him.

a word of advice SpeedTheory. Keep it modest for now. Don't take any ideas from any Paul Walker movies, or flashy import mags cuz people around here are very edgy with 2F2F coming out and they think the "ricers" are targeting their cars for a host of no-taste modifications. I'm just trying to save you from some flames.Keep it clean and good luck.

Hey, screw it. If my parents was rich or better off than they are and had bought me stuff, I would have been like, "Hell yeah."

Speed Theory, milk them for all their worth.

Too bad my parents aren't like that. I just figured I'm gonna do stuff to my car and if they notice the new purr my car gets after I get my dual N1, I'll just tell them I got my oil changed.

speedtheory-

If my parents were buying me a car, I'd be bragging too. Unfortuantely I had to save up for mine, that's why I could only afford a $4000 car, but if I get to work full time this summer as I hope to, I should have plenty to put into it! :D

Good luck with your car!

Congrats on getting the car. Please do realize that you are privlidged to be given a 7000 car. I was GIVEN an 89 Toyota Camry with 280k miles.

BTW, guys on this board arent into people 'starting out' with bodykits and rims.

Purr?

Haha. Have you ever heard a dual N1 after you've driven it for an hour? They'll hear your car from 4 blocks away. Good luck hiding two huge twin mufflers from your parents forever. That exhaust is WAY too loud for my tastes. Its really raspy - not a ricey-raspy, but a loud, deep raspy.

I have parents that spoiled me, and whenever people give me **** about it I tell them to bite a d1ck. You're telling me that if your parents did the same for you at my age, you'd turn it down? ***** nah you wouldn't, and you know it. Typically people that have to work for what they have learn a lot more responsibility than people that are given them for nearly nothing. There are ups and downs to everything.

Now my parents haven't really spoiled me, but they buy things for me every now and then. Now, though, its different. I'm 19, and I've held a steady job (with downtimes between jobs being less than a week) for 3 years. I buy everything I need by myself now, because I don't need them to buy it for me.

Parents rule, sometimes. I've been researching street bikes recently, and decided I wanted to buy one. I live with my parents, and don't pay rent so I figured teh responsible thing was to tell them I wanted to buy a bike rather than just doing so and riding it home with or without their permission. By talking to them about it first, they realized I was responsible enough to own a motorcycle, and now I'm going to have my very own 98 cbr 600 in a few days, thanks to my $3000 savings that I've earned over the past few months.

What's my point? Being spoiled isn't a bad thing as long as you realize that sooner or later it will end and you'll have to buck up and do it all yourself. Once you're there, you'll appreciate everything you buy with your own money way more than the things that were bought for you.

Nick.

Zebra, I like that. It's okay to be spoiled as long as you know you are, and are not a snot nosed little brat/punk.

As far as the people who have to pay for there own stuff are more responsible, I dont know. Most people are, except me.

My dad bought my first car, 1978 malibu classic. $200 car, $500 paint job, $100 in repqairs. Not to bad back in '92. Now I drive a '97 Toyota Tacoma,v6, extended cab, 4x4,sr5. And hell, I dont care if I tear it up or not. I guess I am weird like that. I figure it is only money, I was gonna spend it on somethign anyway.

I know, I'm a retard.
