While I agree RWD is more fun, that was a very harsh review IMO

I thought it was the Most Decent, and Accurate Review of the altima coupe thus far.

Reason being, the review covers all of the altima coupe's features, its resemblance to the G, however being its "own" car, and more...too sleepy. well gnite all

sorry to hear about your accident, but i dont think thats a valid reason to hate the g35, but a reason to hate the dumb driver who hit you.

anyways back onto the topic, anyone's else's opinion on the review?

My problem is with comparing it to the G35, just because it looks similar try to find a new one for less then $5k more. You cant compare it to a USED more expensive car! Then why not throw in some used BMW's ect. The car should be compared to new cars in its class, like the Honda Accord Coupe!! FWD coupe in 30K range.

I can buy a brand new 2007 G35 cp for 30,900. Fully loaded with a sticker of 40K.........And I am thinking about it...That is before any negotiations

The interior of the G35 2007 is much better in terms of design, but the body of the Altima Coupe is still different to the G35. They share similarities, but that hot hill curve on the trunk is something that the G35 doesn't have, unless it was a G37. :p

But engine-wise, I'm pretty satisfied with my choice, and feel safer in the snow with a front wheel drive. I'd love to have a rear wheel drive car, but having driven a Z3 in the rain, it was not fun at all!

Guess the other thing I'm not satisfied is it does need a drop. :p

you are from Canada you know a used G35 coupe is going to cost much more. Not only that a 3.5SE altima coupe with the premium package out the door after taxes cost 42-43K range. All though I was able to pick mine up for less with a set of winter tires and rims and winter mats thrown in.

Of course buying a used car always runs the risk of the previous driver driving their car like ****.

A good review of any car will highlight both the positive and the negatives. There have been a few reviews of the Altima Coupe - so if you are interested in this car then you should read a couple of them to help inform your decision - if you do not need FWD then yes the 2007 G35 is worth a look/ test drive - since they are in the same price range.

The 2007 G35 tends to be discounted more especially since the G37 came out. The Altima Coupe -at one point was selling for above sticker (not sure if this is still the case).

Here is a 2007 g35 - which shows that that 32k is a realistic price for a new G.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...49724

true, i agree with you, there will always be positives and negatives.

and good find, but its pretty hard to find a G for that price at a local dealership, according to where you live. the cheapest one i could find was 35k, fully loaded, none around me at any other dealership.

i found a few for 30k used with 20k miles on it.

I found that car in 3 minutes on ebay (infiniti dealer in MA).

Here is a "lightly" modded used 2003 G35 for 20k.

This is a very good find Cali, although these prices for 2007 G35 coupes w/ premium package were NOT available just a few months ago... it looks like they are trying to give this car away! I've never seen a brand new G35 fully loaded for so cheap... it's only about 1000 more than my A/C w/ Prem. Pack.

In this case, it truely is a matter of FWD vs RWD preference... and also the novelty of having a new Generation car vs an older, recently replaced generation car... but still a very good find none the less

A decent review, but I disagree with focusing on a comparison between the A/C and a G35. If they shared the same drive, the comparison would be more apt.

I too believe the A/C should be compared more with Accord and Camry coupes.

Regardless, I love my little 2.5!!!

well the thing is a 08 altima coupe 3.5 with premium might cost 42-43k, you can pick up a 2007 G35 coupe in canada for the same price now. Even the 08 G37 is 47k at the Calgary dealership. Then again if you have looked the the recent prices, you'll see a premium pack 3.5 altima coupe is in the low 30's now with the us price matching.

No when I said 42K that was after taxes (37K before taxes for a 3.5SE w/premium package), and a G37 costs 49K base model before taxes, 13% (Ontario) you are looking at 53-54K (after taxes) for a brand new base model G37. Getting the extras and you are in brand new 350Z range 52K before taxes freight in (59K after taxes).

LOL why dont you come to Calgary. because all your prices are about 5-10K off compared to here and tax is only 6%. 59k for a 350Z, you have to be nutz to pay nearly 60k for that car. now you're entering BMW M3 range, and i could go to the states on ebay and pick up a str-10 VIper for that ~_~.

woah my a/c came out to 26k with taxes and everything because 1. i don't have any bose system no avi nothing there was nothing in my car no leather nothing and it is a v6 and thats how i wanted it.. eventually i was going to mod it but at that time i didn't have the money...now a used G35 in nyc with about 25k miles is about 28,000 with a like 20,000 miles when a dealer re-sells a car they try and make it closer to the original price as possible thats their goal 2 rip u off.. at my dealer there was a G for 25k with 40,000 miles when u buy a new G its hard to find one thats 30k and change just like the 2.5 coupes its hard over here to find one for 20k flat because most of them come with the extra bull crap navi, bose premium package stuff... and the price for a 2.5 at my dealer is normally 22k and i got my 3.5 for 23k... now do the math with the G... they guys i know most get their G's in total tax and everything included for 36k-40k (thats 2 much 4 my blood im only 21 lol)i dont know about yall but i would have bought a G if it was 30k everything included but here in nyc its just not that way G's used or new r expensive and if they aren't expensive they have 40+ miles on it and i dont think i want that (ppl over here say Oh its only a 10k difference but no that 10k that i dont have)
