Does anyone know if a Nissan dealer can reprogram the keys for our Y34's? There are no Infiniti dealers in the area, just thought I would see if anyone else tried this.

Thanks!

Your best bet would be to call them but I believe they also use a CONSULT tool so I don't see why not.

Nissan locally says they can't do infiniti. are you trying to program door lock functions or to turn key and start car?

If you're trying to just program the fob to unlock the doors, trunk, roll down windows... you can do that by yourself.
If you have purchased a spare key and want to be able to use it too start the car... I had a good relatiinship with a small town Nissan service center that was willing to do Infiniti stuff for me at Nissan prices.
Also, a competent locksmith will be able to do it for you

Thanks for the responses. I called the local Nissan service department, and he assumes he can do it, but I'll stop by with the key and see what they say- I bought a used but operational key from a member here, and want the key to be fully operational to start the car, etc. I know the mechanical key will need to be replaced, I'm more concerned about it's ability to start the car. Will post back when I have a result. Car is put away in the garage for the winter. It's never been out in any bad weather, not going to start now!
