So does every XJ8L.

Funny they make multiple active suspension controllers for it, and know it's not for the damping system
Never have seen a factory specification for an active FY33, but I have seen the turbonator!

Dude, I don't buy it for one minute. The Q is a quick car but for crying out loud!!! Your taking this to far.

Oh, I just beat up on a ZO6 real bad too.

God, this thread just needs to die now.

I've seen specs on a y33 Cedric Active Suspension from 1996, it even had Navi, in 96! Damn we're late bloomers here.

Air suspension is not active suspension!

Have to be pretty desperate to want to look at one of these!

^ Yep.

Can't talk the talk on this forum unless you're planning on sharing the scoop.

Probably the greatest collective resource of Q45 knowledge in the world in this very forum... Hard to get anything by this group.

That being said, we're all gearheads here - let's see some modifications!!!

Well, an 03 cobra is running between 12.9-13.1. You better have some serious work done to that Q to make it even close to that. I realize things are diffrent from a roll but it still don't add up.

You sure he was racing?

Well put! I am satisfied with the power of the Q for it's size. They were never intended to be race cars.

That's not a 96 Cedric in that photo, and the specs I saw said "acitve" not air. This is taken from Tein.co.jp regarding the y33 Cedric - Cima models "Except active suspension / super HICAS models." The model above that listing is a y32 Cedric (maybe what you posted) and for one that it says "Except air suspension models.".

That's a picure of a Y31 Cedric I posted. I promise not to do it again.

Don't see any specification on Nissan site for active suspension on any car other than G50 and its variants.

well...all i know is...at 160 on my speedometer, i looked over and i had about a fenders length on him...you have a good argument there, he could've just been messin around but ya never know on the street. tell ya the truth i didn't exactly understand what had happened when it did happen but i just know i was in front.

i just got an offer today on my car... some guy offered 8 thousand for it... should i take it?

JCsQ45.....sorry JCsQ45, but until you tell us what mods you have done to your car I can't respect your claimed speed/racing numbers and then to say you just got offered $8,000 for your car does not add up.

Tell us more about yourself and your car and then you will earn some my respect. I highly suspect you have serious speedo error if your speedo said 160mph. I highly welcome another highly speed modified Q as it is getting lonely having one of the fastest Q's around.

Probably if financial gain is an objective. But we still don't know if there is anything special about your car or if stock.

Yeah, if the Cooper tires don't blow out at "160 mph", first.

Blah, blah, blah.

Come on guys, I get so tired of reading these threads. If you think your car is fast then to you it is fast. If you think it's faster than someone elses, line 'em up or shut up (like Falk did). There are too many variables to try and even compare time slips whether it's Miami in Jan to June or Indy to Cali, there's just too many variables.

We drive 4 door luxury cars, yes they have power and yes they're fun to drive, but if we wanted ET"s and 0-60's we'd be in much smaller, stronger and lighter cars. When I want to feel the rush of acceleration, I get on my motorcycle, but it's barely a mid-13's bike.

These "my pen!s is bigger than yours" threads BORE me .

well guys....i can't sell the car now... oh and sorry i haven't been able to reply sooner, my computer's been gay.

okay so here's been goin on, my mother backed into my car, buckled the hood. okay, about the mustang, i'm not even going to go on with that crap cuz you all are way older than i am and you're probably right, for all we know he could be just driving a look-a-like. all i know about my car is, since my father distributes parts for stillen as well as many other places, he went through the stillen catalog and bought all the stuff he could for the Q. as soon as i turned 16, the keys were mine because the odometer read 208,xxx. if that wasn't a s/c mustang i don't have any doubts that i coulda hurt his feelings going off of the modded 5.o's i've run with but that's not my concern right now. we're working on designing a turbocharger for the Q45's right now and that's my main focus on the car.

where is the july meeting at? i'm in illinois just south of chicago so if its in the midwest i should be able to make it. i'm itchin to meet some of you guys and check out your cars anyway. and just for kicks n giggles we can run.

you complain about us wanting to be fast in a 4000 lb luxury car but whats wrong with that... i know a guy that's pushing just over 700 in his 4000 lb chevy impala and i'm sure there's a lot of other guys out there that are making huge power numbers in big cars.we're just people who want to have fun and don't necessarily mind spending too much money to have that fun
