Thanks to NICO members I've finished all but hooking the hoses to the B&M ATF cooler. You guys really made it a snap...Falk was right on with the line along the front of the pan advice and I would have dropped the brass washer for sure had he not given me the "heads up". Pan was not bad but the magnet looked like a black doughnut with a jelly-like substance sticking to it. And Wes, my hair is caked with Mobil 1 ATF and I smell like an AAMCO sales rep.

After a great deal of taking things apart and looking I did the Maxnix ATF cooler install in front of the wheel well on the driver's side.... lots of space and seems like there will be lots of air moving through the openings under the grill/headlights and louvered well cover.

One last question...which side...driver's or passenger's side of the radiator, does the ATF return line back to the transmission exit on my 1998 Q45t? If some kind member will help, I can finish up this evening!

Again, thanks to all except the Iron Swede.

Just hook them both up, it doesnt matter which is the to/fro line.... The fluid is pushed, not pulled....!

Just make sure its hooked up and be ready to rumble!!! And get some extra strength shampoo!!!!

Local shop just came in and I think im going to start paying them to let me use their lift on sundays so that said events dont happen!

Wes, do you mean bypass the OEM cooler/radiator all together? If not, I thought the consensus was to hook the B&M in after the ATF has gone through the OEM cooler rather than before.

I kept it in series, so the return, I believe, it the outlet on the driver's side.

Check the FSM.

Well it depends. Do you warm up your ice cream before you freeze it? Do you wipe before you poop?? Seems pointless to warm something up just to cool it down... I bypassed it all together and thats what nearly all of the people do here... Main reason being is not necessarily for the cooling (albiet it is) but also the OEM one clogs.... So bypass all together!
