It's been a while since I last posted. First of all, let me apologized for not using the search feature this time. I've remember I did a search over a year ago and found something about replacing the TCS sensor/relay (??).

Anyway, my TCS light comes on once a while. Sometimes after a long drive and sometimes first thing in the morning. It usually goes away when I turn off the car and restart the engine. Only this time OD light blinked for about 5 to 10s before it went away. The only thing I did over the weekend was thoroughly cleaned the battery terminals (lots of corrosion - wht stuffs) and connectors. Someone has mentioned the battery connections could be the cause to this TCS lighting issue. Does that mean the next step is to replace the TCS sensor? Any other check I can do?

As there was a recall on the 1997 alternator I would check the alternator's wave form output first.
