I am replacing my tension rods this week with the pillow ball S13 type & would like to know of all the polyurethane bushings that are available for a 1998 Y33 for the purpose of replacing all of the worn rubber suspension pieces. My larger issue is that i really don't know all the rubber pieces that should be replaced. Also, where's the best place to get the bushings, rubber or poly? Prices? My Q has +/-125K on it. any info/thoughts are appreciated.

Rubber from Joe.

Polurethane has never been used on a FGY33 that I can recall. G50 guys use Z32 components for the most part xince suspension design is similar but scaled up slightly on the G50.

They are a dealership but offer discounts to NICO members...we all typically work with Joe, the sales manager.

I have never seen them, I think your stuck with rubber replacement. getting them from Joe (they are really Scotsdale Nissan/Infiniti) will get it to you much cheaper than you can get it locally.

i may be wrong on this, but arent the s13 rods identical to the y33 models? if that's the case, would these work instead of me replacining my whole tension rod?

if you wanted to replace withthe 240/300ZX poly bushings that would be fine.

You can replace sway bar bushings with poly. Really, on a Y33 thats about it, tension rod bushings and sway bra bushings... I guess LCA bushings as well.

u think it's better (better handling/tighter feel) to go poly on the parts that i can or go s13 pillow ball TRs & replace all else w/rubber? or maybe even do the poly w/the s13 TRs...? im not lookin for a race car, just want to tighten up & optimize current setup
